Celebrity Pinewood Derby Auction Supports Scoutreach

Darin Wilson of Pack 203 recently appeared on Paula Sands Live to discuss the upcoming Celebrity Pinewood Derby Auction, an annual community event that supports the Boy Scouts of America Scoutreach Program.

The event is organized each year by Troop 199 in partnership with the popular 97X Dwyer & Michaels Morning Show. The Celebrity Pinewood Derby has become a fun and meaningful Quad Cities tradition, bringing together local personalities, businesses, and community supporters for a great cause.

During the television segment, Wilson explained how the event combines creativity, competition, and community involvement while helping raise important funds for Scoutreach. The Scoutreach Program helps make Scouting accessible to youth who may not otherwise have the opportunity to participate, providing leadership development, mentorship, outdoor experiences, and character-building programs.

The Celebrity Pinewood Derby Auction features custom Pinewood Derby cars created and donated by local celebrities, businesses, and organizations. Community members can bid on the unique cars during the fundraiser, with all proceeds directly benefiting Scoutreach initiatives throughout the region.

Wilson highlighted the importance of community partnerships and volunteer support in helping local Scouting programs continue to grow and positively impact young people across the Quad Cities area.

The appearance on Paula Sands Live helped shine a spotlight on the event’s mission while encouraging additional community involvement and support for local Scouting programs.
