JR Girskis presented the Boy Scouts Community Impact Award to Bill Michaels of 97X Dwyer & Michaels on April 24, 2022.

On April 24, 2022, Brian “JR” Girskis of Suburban Construction proudly presented the Boy Scouts Community Impact Award to Bill Michaels of the 97X Dwyer & Michaels Morning Show in recognition of his continued support of local Scouting programs and the annual Celebrity Pinewood Derby fundraiser.
The award highlighted Michaels’ longtime commitment to helping raise awareness and support for the Boy Scouts through community involvement, media outreach, and fundraising efforts that positively impact youth throughout the Quad Cities region.
The Celebrity Pinewood Derby has become a well-known community event that brings together local businesses, media personalities, organizations, and supporters to raise funds for Scouting programs and youth leadership initiatives. The event helps support the Scoutreach Program, which provides opportunities for youth to participate in Scouting experiences focused on leadership, teamwork, mentorship, and character development.
JR Girskis recognized the important role Bill Michaels and the entire Dwyer & Michaels team have played in helping the event grow over the years.
