Suburban Construction proudly sponsored Merit Badge University at Scott Community College, supporting leadership and hands-on learning for local Scouts.

At Suburban Construction, we believe strong communities are built by investing in the next generation of leaders, tradespeople, and problem-solvers. That’s why we were proud to serve as a sponsor for this year’s Merit Badge University, helping support an incredible day of learning, leadership, and hands-on experiences for Scouts from across the region.
Hosted at Scott Community College – Belmont Campus, Merit Badge University brought together Scouts, volunteers, educators, and industry professionals to provide unique opportunities for youth to explore new skills and career pathways. From technical and academic subjects to leadership development and teamwork, the event showcased the very values that help shape future success.
As a company rooted in construction, service, and community partnerships, supporting programs like Merit Badge University aligns directly with our mission. The construction industry depends on hardworking individuals who are willing to learn, adapt, and lead — qualities that are developed early through organizations like Scouting.
Throughout the event, Scouts had the opportunity to earn merit badges in a wide range of subjects while learning from experienced instructors and community leaders. These experiences not only help Scouts advance in rank but also expose them to real-world skills that can inspire future careers in construction, engineering, technology, skilled trades, and beyond.
Suburban Construction is especially proud to support educational initiatives that encourage curiosity and hands-on learning. Merit Badge University creates an environment where young people can ask questions, solve problems, collaborate with others, and build confidence — all essential skills both on and off the jobsite.
We also want to recognize the dedicated volunteers, merit badge counselors, educators, and organizers who made the event possible. Their commitment to mentoring and guiding youth is what turns programs like this into meaningful experiences that leave a lasting impact.
At Suburban Construction, community involvement is more than just sponsorships — it’s about creating opportunities and supporting programs that strengthen the future of our region. We are honored to play a small part in helping local Scouts grow into capable leaders and engaged citizens.
We look forward to continuing our partnership with community organizations, schools, and Scouting programs that invest in education, leadership, and service.
Thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s Merit Badge University. We are proud to support the next generation as they learn, grow, and build their futures.
