Suburban Construction Inc. congratulates the 2026 “I Shot for the Henry” winners at Camp Loud Thunder and proudly supports Scouting programs and youth activities throughout the Quad Cities area.

At Suburban Construction Inc., being part of the Quad Cities community means more than installing windows, siding, and entry doors. It also means supporting the organizations, volunteers, and young people who help make the Quad Cities a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
That is why Suburban Construction was once again proud to support the annual “I Shot for the Henry” competition at Camp Loud Thunder during the 2026 summer camp season.
After a summer filled with great shooting, friendly competition, and plenty of time at the rifle range, the final scores are in!
🎯 Youth Winner: Carter Kiefer, Troop 46 — Score: 84
🎯 Adult Winner: Jason Gregory, Troop 127 — Score: 91
Congratulations to Carter and Jason on an outstanding summer of marksmanship!
As the highest-scoring youth and adult competitors, each earned the competition's top prize — a brand-new Henry rifle donated by Suburban Construction Inc.
We are proud to help make this Camp Loud Thunder tradition possible.
Throughout summer camp, Scouts and adult leaders visiting Camp Loud Thunder have an opportunity to test their marksmanship skills and compete for a place at the top of the leaderboard.
Participants purchase tokens at the Trading Post and head to the Upper Camp Rifle Range during Open Shoot to take their shot.
Scores are recorded throughout the summer, creating some fun and friendly competition among Scouts and leaders.
At the conclusion of the summer camp season, the highest-scoring youth participant and highest-scoring adult participant are named the year's “I Shot for the Henry” champions.
Each winner receives a Henry rifle donated by Suburban Construction.
The competition has become a fun Camp Loud Thunder tradition that encourages participants to spend additional time at the range while developing their marksmanship skills.
Suburban Construction has served homeowners throughout Davenport, Bettendorf, Moline, Rock Island, East Moline, and the surrounding Quad Cities for more than 40 years.
Our community has supported our family business for four decades, and we believe it is important to return that support whenever possible.
Scouting is one of the organizations we are proud to support.
Scouting programs give young people opportunities to develop leadership, responsibility, confidence, teamwork, outdoor skills, and a commitment to serving others.
Summer camp takes those lessons outside the meeting room and gives Scouts an opportunity to put them into practice.
Whether a Scout is learning to shoot for the first time, working toward a merit badge, developing outdoor skills, or simply spending a week at camp with friends, those experiences can create memories that last for years.
Programs like “I Shot for the Henry” would not be possible without volunteers.
Behind the scenes at Camp Loud Thunder are dedicated people who give countless hours to make sure Scouts have safe, educational, and memorable experiences.
That is especially true for the volunteers who support the Range and Target Activities program.
Operating a successful shooting sports program takes planning, training, preparation, maintenance, and plenty of time at the range.
Suburban Construction would like to thank the volunteers, leaders, camp staff, and Scouting professionals who helped make the 2026 summer camp season possible.
The Henry rifles may be the prizes, but the real value of the program comes from the people who dedicate their time to teaching and mentoring the next generation.
Suburban Construction was founded in 1985, and our roots in the Quad Cities run deep.
For more than four decades, local homeowners have trusted our family business for exterior home improvement projects, including replacement windows, vinyl and composite siding, and entry doors.
That support has allowed us to grow our business, employ local people, support area organizations, and give back to the communities we serve.
We never want to lose sight of that.
Community involvement isn't simply about putting a company name on an event. It is about helping organizations continue programs that make a difference.
Scouting is built around service, leadership, character, and preparing young people for the future. Those are values worth supporting.
We are grateful for the opportunity to play a small part in keeping programs like “I Shot for the Henry” going.
The 2026 marks have officially been set:
Youth Division — 84
Adult Division — 91
Think you can beat them?
You'll have your opportunity because “I Shot for the Henry” is coming back for Summer Camp 2027! 🎯
Scouts and leaders can start practicing now for another summer of competition at Camp Loud Thunder.
Will we see your name at the top of the leaderboard next year?
Everyone at Suburban Construction Inc. congratulates Carter Kiefer of Troop 46 and Jason Gregory of Troop 127 on becoming the 2026 “I Shot for the Henry” champions.
